Dana Carvey as Tom Brokaw reports the death of President Gerald Ford. Sort of.
From the short-lived Dana Carvey Show. Trivia: Writers on the show included Louis CK, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Robert Smigel (Triumph The Insult Comic Dog) and Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

Hahaha! He does Tom Brokaw better than Tom Brokaw.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Church Lady. She was funny because she was real. At least where I come from.
"He was delicious." Hahaha! I love this one. :-D
ReplyDeleteThanks! I remember this. But I could have sworn it was on SNL when Dana Carvey was a guest. But sure enough, there it is on Hulu (maybe they showed it as a segment when he was on SNL again as a host).
ReplyDeleteNow I'll have to waste a few mornings watching reruns on Hulu.
Very much a fan of this. Every time Gerald Ford's name comes up near me, the misses and I attempt to imitate Carvey.
ReplyDeleteLefty, is there a video of you imitating Carvey? That's one I'd like to see if there is. :D
ReplyDeleteGood gravy Daisy, I hope not! Wouldn't even try it in public!
ReplyDeleteI think this was lumped in with a SNL best-of DVD at one point, which is why people (including me) think it's originally from SNL.
