Not-So-Classic 80s Song Of The Day: Vanity

Humble you ain't. From ABC, the group that brought you "The Look Of Love" and "Be Near Me."

  1. I don't think I've ever seen that one! The little bespectacled fella looks like the dancing dude from the Six Flags commercials. Boy, he's really aged.

Love that "Merchant of Venice" quote! This is such a classy joint. :)

  3. I'm not familiar with this one either. It seems like I would have remembered a band made up of David Bowie, Carol Kane, Pee Wee Herman, and the Six Flags guy. :-D

  4. I didn't know Moby spawned from ABC . . .

  7. Didn't Carly Simon perform this in '72?

  8. Didn't ABC lose all but one or two of their members and then they added the bespectacled billiard head and the blonde bimbo (the Indian and the Construction Worker were already engaged... um in work). Not because they could sing or play instruments (they couldn't) but because the remaining ABC guys thought they looked interesting.

It's disturbing that I remember that from the 1980s.
