Euphemisms Of The Day (chart)

Leisa saw this and suggested I share it with all of you. Just when I think I've heard all possible euphemisms for a particular thing, people make up more. Not that I am complaining--you have to admire the creativity of coming up with phrases like "taffy puller."

  1. Well, gee, if a gentleman (term used very loosely) referred to his lady's vagina as skunk guts or a slobbering bulldog or a smelly jelly hole, I'd predict he wouldn't be seeing said vagina again anytime soon!

  2. No kidding, Daisy. I get a sideways look from the Mrs if I call it "cooter"...which is why I continue to call it cooter. My sister used to complain about my potty humor. You see how that turned out.

  3. Okay, some of these are funny, some are kind of offensive. But a minority of them have me wondering.

(cod canal, cradle of filth, goo pot, mark of the beast, organ grinder, stench trench)

Really? Either they are hanging around really nasty women, or the last vagina they saw was the one they came out of when they were born.

  4. I learned "punani" from my Jamaican roommate in college. Likewise "yoni" from my midwife. I must admit, I do like the sound of "velvet glove," "happy valley," and "fun tunnel."

Naturally, "red-haired lady" is my favorite. :)

  5. @Cam: Maybe they should have taken the advice in this commercial.

  6. "Cooter" makes me think of the mechanic character on the old "Dukes of Hazard" TV show. hahaha!

  7. For all the energy, money, time and effort men spend to stick their penises in one, you'd think they'd give it more respect.

Do they give vaginas nasty names because they're afraid of them? I think maybe so.

In any event, "meat curtains" crack me up.
