Chairs, you got a dinette set. No chairs, you got dick!

Evidently, proper installation is vital. The 3rd girl was doing really well until the thing fell. The 6th video I'd seen before but still makes me cringe. And the 7th chic is just an idiot.
ReplyDeleteHubby has a confirmed bachelor friend who put up a stripper pole in his basement, with the whole, "if you build it, they will come (heh)" mentality. Not sure what he did wrong, but you can only spin one way, otherwise it will begin to unscrew itself from the ceiling.
That does sound like a failure of installation Samsmama! Tell us - how did you come to know about the problem in such detail?
ReplyDeleteI wondered the same, Tracie, but dared not ask.
ReplyDeleteKind of wondering if that one lady is okay or if she is still buried under her furniture.

what an excellent post.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing, Kate.
and smama? you gave it a whirl or two din't ya?
As Samsmama said (she's been beating me to the comments, lately), that third girl was pretty impressive, until the pole fell (I hate it when that happens).
ReplyDeleteI think the first one is funny as hell because the strippers get in a fight. I mean chick on the pole let go (at least it looked like she let go) and fell on her ass.
ReplyDeleteI would totally install an "exercise" pole, but I can't think of a good reason to tell the kids why there are suddenly metal plates on the floor and ceiling in my bedroom. No one would see any video of me busting my ass though, because I wouldn't allow any cameras in the room. hehe
Do you know what kind of money you can make on the pole? And in these tough times...ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
ReplyDeleteHell, no, I didn't try it.
You know, it's just harder than it looks. I mean, I hear.
ReplyDeleteThat's what sh--
ReplyDeletewell.. you know
Nothing in the world is sexier than a woman who is willing to strip for you.
ReplyDeleteAnd nothing is less sexy than seeing said girl break her ass trying to do a naked 360º spin on a stripper pole.
Yeah. A trip to the ER can really ruin a mood.
ReplyDeleteThe first one had me clicking my heels together (from all the German being spoken).
Kids - Take my advice and don't skimp on the stripper pole. Get a good quality pole and stay away from the Lee™ Press-On pole. If it says "As seen on TV", avoid it.
I'm amused by the short time it takes these gals to wipe out and go crashing to the floor. For most of them, it is just a few seconds. It seems like if they are going to go to the trouble of having their "performance" recorded, that they might have practiced a little longer first. You'd think they would want to polish it up a bit before deciding to save it for posterity (or worse, for the whole world to see it on the internet).
ReplyDeleteHey all the vids looks great.

My takeaway? At-home stripper poles are not a wise purchase.
ReplyDeleteI am dying to know why that one girl hanging upside down thought it was O.K. to let go of the pole.
ReplyDeleteI mean, really...gravity stops at the stripper pole?
She was ok, hanging by her feet, until her "instructor" moved her feet.
