Does anyone besides me and Spinderfella remember this one? Lance Kerwin was a TV staple around this time, as was Kim Richards. I always remember Lance from the TV movie, The Loneliest Runner, where he had a bed-wetting problem and his mother would hang his wet sheets out the front window to humiliate him. He should've pissed in her bed instead.
Things aren't always what they seem

I remember that as well. It was my sister's favorite show. They had to change it to James at 16 to stifle the protests when he lost his virginity.
ReplyDeleteThe lonliest runner was written by Michael Landon and it was autobiographical. I can't believe his mom was such a bitch.
I don't remember this show at all, but I do remember both Lance and Kim. I remember that TV movie too. The mom in that was really nasty!
ReplyDeleteYes, I hated this show with a passion. I don't know why, just that I did.
ReplyDeleteJames at 48, coming to a theater near you.
ReplyDeleteHis IMDb bio says he was a drug addict for years but got sober and now runs a rehab center somewhere.
ReplyDeleteRight on, Lance.
That James was always so inquisitive.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember anything from that movie but that one scene. Traumatizing, apparently. LOL @ the thought of pissing in her bed!
ReplyDeleteOh, geez. Thanks for reminding me!
ReplyDeleteI remember.....explains my memory loss...too many useless memories taking up all the room! lol
ReplyDeleteI think Lance also played Kristy MacNichol's first boyfriend in Family.
ReplyDeleteAll I remember was this was my sister's favorite show, and I hated it, but can't remember why
ReplyDeleteBecause it sucked, probably.
ReplyDeleteI totally remember this. I was about 8 at the time and my parents thought it was too mature for me. They were right, but I watched it anyhow. I remember him getting laid in his sleeping bag outside, and when he joined a cult who made him give up his treasured camera. Why, oh why God do I carry this information around with me?
ReplyDeleteI remember the sheets out the window. I remember thinking that she should have put that in the wash right away so the stain didn't set in. I guess my mother started early with me.
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking he was really dreamy!
ReplyDeleteI never watched the show, but I did watch the movie.
ReplyDeleteThat kid got laid? The 70s truly were a magical time. The cult part I totally believe.
ReplyDeleteSo Michael Landon was a bedwetter with a mean mom? Wow - that's one way to get revenge on a bad parent - grow up and write a TV movie with mom or dad as the villain.
I remember it. My mom didn't like me watching it cuz it was too racy.
ReplyDeleteLet us never ever forget Lance's PIVOTAL role in "Enemy Mine" starring Dennis Quaid and Lou Gossett Junior
ReplyDeleteKim Richards is still prime fap-fodder. She should be on Cary's list of girls he'd totally pork.
