I will agree with all of these except Jim Carrey. I think it's a worse movie when he plays a silly character.

Loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show.

HATED The Grinch, Fun with Dick and Jane, etc.

That post was brutal, but I'd have to agree with most of them. I think you could include almost any Eddie Murphy movie in the last 10 years.

I agree with Linds. Eternal Sunshine ESPECIALLY. I hate his "schtick." It got old after one movie for me.

Two words:

1) Starring

B) Nicolas

IV) Cage

Hey, I'm sorry. I like the guy too, but seriously, has he done anything decent at all since, say, '95?

Eddie Murphy as a woman--blech.

I did think John Travolta was amusing as a woman in the movie "Hairspray" at least in some of the scenes. The movie overall was mediocre, but the scene where he dances outside with Christopher Walken I thought was funny.

MSOTD--Seriously?? HA HA HA! What a buffoon.

They had me at Dane Cook. I want to punch him in his vagina.

Kari you are on a freaking roll today! And I, for one, thought your turd story was delightful!

I like Eternal Sunshine but it's kinda melancholy. I will watch anything with Kate Winslet, even chick flicks (I liked Sense & Sensibility - great movie).

I liked Jim in The Mask and even The Cable Guy, but yes, the schtick got old quickly.

They left out an important one: direct to DVD release.

I'd have to disagree on the Dane Cook choice for at least two movies.

1) "Waiting" - Because he gets yelled at in movie for being an unbearable douche, well worth the price of admission.

2) Mr. Brooks - he had decent acting chops in this flick and I wondered if he could pull off a serious acting career from this performance.

(SPOILER-------

Plus he gets brutally whacked and in the theater I saw it in the entire audience laughed.

Keep in mind, during a horror/suspense film...

SPOILER--------)

I agree with the Nick Cage thing. He annoys the crap out of me now.

But Jim Carey (maybe it's because my husband looks like him), but I love him in dramatic roles. His first role, I think, he was the drunk brother in a horrid household, and he played it beautifully. But I did love him in the Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine.

I agree with all of these except for Jim Carrey. He hits the mark just about as much when he's serious as when he's funny.

I give Lindsey Lohan a pass for Mean Girls, excellent movie, although she almost got hit by a bus in the beginning.
