Wow, five thumbs down. Who knew so many DMV workers hung out on Yahoo Answers?

  1. Who HAS to drop out in seventh grade? Don't state laws require kids to be in school until a certain age?

  3. In Texas at least, they're supposed to go to school until they're seventeen. This kid is makinge excuses, unless he seriously had deathly ill parents or no parents or something. He seems more lazy to me. Go to school for half a year to get a GED, then quit again, and think you're going to be a police officer??? Geez.

  4. another great line of work for this kid would be heavy equipment operator. you don't even need a GED for that, and it pays well!

  6. Maybe he was 17 and in the 7th grade. I used to teach in Louisiana and had several 7th graders that were getting ready to take drivers ed. -Terps
Oh, and I also had a few run-ins with cops in Louisiana, so I think this is totally possible.

  7. HA HA HA! That 95% figure might be just a little low, Cary! :D

I thought it was just the Ohio DMV who are grossly underqualified for their jobs. I guess it is more widespread than I realized. I dread it every time I have to go there.
