Classic Comedy Clip Of The Day: The Rabbit

I'm not sure how long ago Monty Python launched their own YouTube channel (along with a funny intro video you should watch), but I just discovered it. Let's celebrate with this classic moment from Monty Python And The Holy Grail.

LOOK AT THE BONES!!! I always get a kick out of Tim laughing at them after the slaughter.

I am deathly allergic to rabbits and reference this scene to remind people that although cute and furry, they can be quite dangerous!

My rabbit is just like that, except he is caramel-colored with floppy ears.

Run away! Run away! Run away!

"Run away"...a regular in our house!! This is my DS's fave movie of all time! Does it make me a bad parent that I let my kids watch this?? :oD

Love it! A great reason to celebrate, and you couldn't have chosen a better video to celebrate it with! :D

I love the invective "You tit!"

Aries: I know RIGHT? "You tit!" is hilarious! This movie is full of so many great lines, its hard to remember them all.

Laura - Does that mean my parents were bad because they played the song "sit on my face" on car trips?

I watched this with my theatre geek niece last time in the states...she had about 10 of her friends over, and we just howled. I LOVE watching this movie with someone who's never seen it.

Can't wait to use the Duck/Witch logic on my son when he's old enough. He's already reading Calvin and Hobbes, so it shan't be long!

I need to watch this again. It's been too long. I don't remember half the things you guys are mentioning. But that means it will be even more fun to watch again.

I love Calvin & Hobbes.

God I love this movie.

Although, Monty Python has now ruined ever other fantasy or historical based film for me.

Every time I watch a battle scene and they retreat I scream "run away!"

Yes, I am one of those dorks who recites all the lines from Monty Python movies. :D

Rosie ~ nope, that makes your parents very cool indeed! :oD My DS has MP songs on his iPod...hehe.

Emmi ~ I do the "run away" thing during movies too and like you I recite lines all the time. If my kids try to get by me in the house I say "none shall pass" and then tell them to bring me "a shrubbery". And every cut, bump, scrape, bruise is "just a flesh wound".

If you like the TV series, today Amazon has the DVD set (all 45 episodes) on sale for only $40.

Cary said...

Yes, and use my Amazon link (right column) to do so, and I'll get a dollar or two for the site.

Frank Irwin said...

I don't see an Amazon link, Cary. If I find it, I'll have to remember to use it for future purchases.

Right hand column, down where the ads are. First ad in the group.

Oh, wow. Those don't show up in Firefox. I had to go to IE to see them.

Damn, no wonder I'm not making any money on this blog.
