How about Gunnery Sgt. Hartman (played by R. Lee Ermey) in "Full Metal Jacket?
ReplyDeleteYes, good choice.
ReplyDelete"WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION, NUMBNUTS?!!"
What about R2D2 from the Star Wars movies?
ReplyDeleteOr Rooster Cogburn?
No Count Dracula?? No Frankenstein's Monster??? Oh well, at least Jane Craig from "Broadcast News" made it.
ReplyDeleteyeah, and how about Dalton (Patrick Swayze) from Road House?
ReplyDelete"Pain don't hurt."
C'mon! That's a no-brainer.
Joan Crawford (Mommy Dearest)
ReplyDeleteThat's a dart board list if I ever saw one.And yes, Roadhouse is a no-brainer movie.
ReplyDeleteGet rid of Bill the Butcher (#83)? Gedoudahere...
ReplyDeleteAs for additions: Mr. Blonde and/or Mr. White and/or Joe Cabot, Reservoir Dogs.
Carl Spackler is #1
ReplyDeleteEnd of discussion.
Also forgotten:
ReplyDeleteJason Bourne (Bourne Identity Trilogy)
Austin Powers (First movie only...)
Snake Plisskin
ReplyDeleteWhere's Tyler Durden???
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see Navin Johnson made the list. (#66)
ReplyDelete"He hates these cans!"
ReplyDeleteLove that movie.
Corky St. Clair - Waiting for Guffman. Best movie character ever! (Finally delurking...I love your site!)
ReplyDeleteno Han Solo?
ReplyDeleteglad navin johnson made it..but what about Ricky Bobby?????
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they decided to use only one character per movie, a silly rule when you have to choose between Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler, Don Corleone or Michael Corleone, Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader or Han Solo or Obi-Wan Kenobi or JarJar Binks.
ReplyDeleteI kind of think that Horror movie characters should have their own category. They are generally oft returning characters. You know - Freddy Kreuger, Jason Vorhees, Michael Meyers, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.
ReplyDeleteGet rid of #95, replace with Amelie Poulain (Amelie)
ReplyDeleteThe Geek (aka "Farmer Ted") in "Sixteen Candles."
